W.C. Jackson papers, 1891-1951.

The W.C. Jackson papers contain diaires, correspondence, photographs, and ephemera belonging to W.C. Jackson and his family. The material dates from 1891 to 1951. Born in Pitt County, North Carolina, in 1870, William Colbert (Willie) Jackson graduated from the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1896 with a B.S. in General Farming, Dairying and Lumber Manufacturing. Jackson settled in the Wake Forest area after graduation. He established himself as a farmer and married Mary Smith of Winterville, North Carolina.
